A few weeks ago McKenna asked me if she could try out for the 7th grade volleyball team. I hesitated to say yes because she had never really played volleyball before. When she made the first cut at tryouts, I was a little surprised. Then she made the second cut and we celebrated! The icing on the cake was her friend Sophie making the team too. Today they played their first two games. Although she has a lot to learn, McKenna did really well and had a couple of good plays. They won their 1st game against Mesquite, and lost the 2nd to Enterprise. Looks like our Saturdays are going to be filled with volleyball for the next two months.
